Thank you very much for your interest in this year’s Red Lion Recreation Commission Halloween Parade. Your involvement in the year’s parade not only adds to our excitement, but assures that this year’s parade will be as terrific as ever!

On the night of the parade, Fire Police will close off Horace Mann Avenue from Country Club Road to Martin Street at 5:15 PM. Only the vehicles that are involved in the parade will be allowed to enter or be within the closed off area. FLOATS BEING SET UP MUST REPORT TO THE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL FOR SETUP AND THEN PROCEED TO HORACE MANN AVE. WHEN FINISHED.  All parade participants must enter the High School from Country Club Rd; participants may park their vehicles that are not involved with the parade behind the High School closest to the Country Club Road.

Check-in for the parade will be organized in the Red Lion Ambulance Club at 312 Horace Mann Ave from 5:15PM until 6:30 PM. Please register as soon as possible. 


Your parade number will be available at the registration table at that time. The parade will begin at 7:00PM. Please make us aware that you are pre-registered so that we can give you your parade number as soon as possible. If you sent your registration form to the Recreation Office, you must still check-in at the ambulance club.

For young children participating in the parade, they will be dropped off at the high school parking lot and retrieved by an adult from their float. This will cut down on traffic issues and make the entire area safer for all participants. 

Please review the following list of rules to ensure that the parade will be as safe as possible for everyone involved.

  1. Any application      construed as a public hazard or likely to cause any unsafe condition along      the parade route will be denied.
  2. Motorized go-carts,      motorcycles, mini-bikes, mopeds and bicycles are not permitted except as      approved by the parade committee.
  3. No throwing of candy or      other items from vehicles or floats. Items must be “handed out” by walking      participants.
  4. All parade participants      must stay in the line of march. Do not go into the crowd.

Floats may be no taller than 12 feet!

Any violators will be removed from the parade and not be permitted to participate in the parade in the future.
