Red Lion Recreation has built its own baseball/softball training building,  called the "Bowers Pavilion". It was built using money that was donated several years ago from the estate of Dorothy Bowers.  It is located at Nitchkey Field. There are several intended uses for this building:

• Indoor (Winter) baseball, softball batting cages
• Camps and clinics
• Open pavilion area to view ball games
• Team Rental Area
• Private instruction
• We have 3 "tunnels" that are available for rental.

We also have plenty of practice balls available, and l-screens if coaches wanted to pitch “live”. The building is well lit and heated.  We have the capability to handle baseball, fast-pitch softball or slow-pitch softball. 
Rental rates are $25.00 per hour for one cage, or $20.00 per hour for multiple cages. We are currently taking payments online for reservations. Please see the attached contract to be completed as well.

*** Entrance is permitted only through a code that is given by the borough/ Recreation Office. This code is tracked and expires at a certain time. This code will be given after payment. 

Total building rental is available for other activities.

Also, for use in the spring, summer and fall, there is an “open-air” pavilion area that can be used for picnics or family gatherings.

1. Light & Heat
   • Light switches are located immediately to your right upon entering.
   • To turn on the heat, go to the far left corner. Under the large silver box, you’ll find a switch labeled "Emergency"—this activates the heat.

1. Facility Use & Cleanup
   • Turn off all lights and electrical equipment before leaving.
   • Return all equipment to its proper place and clean up after yourself.

1. Ball & Equipment Rules
   • Only dimpled balls are allowed in the pitching machine.
   • NO hardballs permitted inside the facility.

1. Restroom Access
   • Bathrooms are available outside only in warmer months.
   • In colder months, portable restrooms may be available.

1. Security & Conduct
   • This facility is under 24/7 surveillance and is regularly monitored.
   • Any misuse, vandalism, or damage to equipment or property will result in fines and a permanent ban.
